One more update, someone did finally look at [https://github.com/requests/requests-kerberos/pull/89,] however
deemed it too complicated to be merged and asked for someone else to step up.  I asked in
turn to consider my PR [https://github.com/requests/requests-kerberos/pull/89|https://github.com/requests/requests-kerberos/pull/89,],
which essentially accomplishes the same thing but with less code change
