Also, though Phoenix doesn't support it (which seems inconsistent on their part, since they
allow it for {{UPSERT}}), we could also allow embedding extended column definitions in the
{{SELECT}} column list.
Is this something we want to allow in Calcite [~julianhyde] and Phoenix [~jamestaylor]?
