I'd only expect ANY and ALL to work for a small set of built-in operators. As you've noticed
it's extra work to get them to work for each new operator.

'= ANY (array)' is not standard; '= ANY (query)' is standard. Calcite doesn't implement either.
For the latter, we recommend that people manually rewrite to EXISTS. Not sure whether EXISTS
would work on an array.
