Subject [jira] [Updated] (PHOENIX-2556) Subqueries are not freeing hash cache

Maryann Xue updated PHOENIX-2556:
---------------------------------
    Attachment: PHOENIX-2556.patch

Thanks a lot, [~jamestaylor]! I have found the problem: the skip-scan-join did not call ResultIterator.close()
for sub-plan iterators. A skip-scan-join does not create a hash cache itself, but may contain
sub-plans that do (in which case they are a normal join). ResultIterator.close() is called
within HashCacheClient.addHashCache(), so a normal join does not have this problem.

> Subqueries are only freeing some of the server-side hash cache memory, leading to essentially
a kind of memory leak.
