Sorry for the on-going confusion, but the 4.4 release will come out of the 4.0 branch (like
the 4.3 release did). Future 4.3 patch releases (i.e. 4.3.1, 4.3.2) will come off of the 4.3
branch.

Let me start a vote on renaming the 4.0 branch, as that's long overdue.
