Jeffrey Zhong commented on PHOENIX-1531:
----------------------------------------

I filed a JIRA PHOENIX-1207 sometimes back and didn't get a chance to update our installation
doc. Phoenix-server jar should be put in region server class path from now on by default.

> Key: PHOENIX-1531
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX-1531
> Project: Phoenix
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 4.2.2
> Environment: CentOS7, HBase 0.98.5
> Reporter: Jerry Chabot
>
> It is my understanding that Phoenix is deployed in HBase by modifying the HBASE_CLASSPATH
variable to include phoenix-core-<version>.jar. This worked in 4.1.0 and 4.2.1. But,
does not work with 4.2.2. When a query is executed, a NoClassDefFoundError is encountered.
A workaround is to include the phoenix-4.2.2-server.jar.
