Just follow the instructions in INSTALL in the tarball, i.e. something like:

  % perl Makefile.PL MP_APXS=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs
  % make && make test
  % make install

(You can skip the last step. It's the results of "make test" that
we're interested in here.)
