Hi!  Ok, I implemented the changes that you stated and now I received the following error:
 
 
You need to pass either MP_AP_PREFIX or MP_APXS, but not both.  
 
 
Configuration for makefile: 
/usr/local/bin/perl Makefile.PL 
MP_USE_STATIC=1 
MP_AP_PREFIX=/data/links/httpd
MP_APXS=/usr/sbin/apxs 
 
 
Any suggestions you have would be great.

As far as I remember must be something like 

perl Makefile.PL MP_APXS=/usr/bin/apxs
