Last year at YAPC::Europe I did a tutorial in which I did what you proposed.
Unfortunalty the slides aren't really up do date and the server the
application was hosted on is currently not available (cause we're setting up
some new servers..)

But as soon as the server's back up (next week I hope) and as soon as I find
some time (this will probably take longer...) I can polish everything up and
add some links to the app and the slides from the mod_perl site. Or maybe
dump the slides and write a proper article.
