Subject re: solaris 2.6, mod_perl 1.27, apache 1.3.26, resulting server fails
Date Mon, 05 Aug 2002 19:56:17 GMT
I was able to get the test server working. When I try to run it with my
production configuration, it will not start, with the following error:

------- error message -------
Syntax error on line 1341 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:

------- end of message -------

The trace is showing our PerlRequire file (startup.tkb.pl), which uses
the TrackSession.pm module, which uses the Apache::Log module, which it
cannot find.

The Apache::Log module does exist, in two locations:

-r--r--r-- 1 root root 651 Jan 31 1999 ./site_perl/Apache/Log.pm
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 651 Jan 31 1999 ./site_perl/5.6.1/sun4-solaris/Apache/Log.pm

I have already checked all parent directories to ensure the permissions
are correct.

We originally had perl version 5.004_04 on the system. We have upgrade to
version 5.6.1. Thus the two installations.

Please let me know what I can try to get this working. Or, if there is
some resource that can help me diagnose the problem, I would truly
appreciate it. Thank you.
