if  this  isn't  what you want, tell me what i have to type. as i told
you, i'm not familiar with gdb.

my setup:

apache 1.3.12 / mod_perl 1.21_02 / DBI 1.13 /DBD::Sybase 0.21

Apache:

OPTIM="-O2 -mpentium -fno-strength-reduce" \
        ./configure --prefix=/usr \
        --with-layout=RedHat \
        --add-module=mod_bandwidth.c \
        --add-module=mod_put.c \
        --activate-module=src/modules/throttle/mod_throttle.o \

        --disable-rule=WANTHSREGEX \
        --disable-module=auth_dbm \ 
        --with-perl=/usr/bin/perl \

make

mod_perl:

CFLAGS="-O2 -mpentium -fno-strength-reduce" \
perl Makefile.PL USE_APXS=1 WITH_APXS=/usr/sbin/apxs EVERYTHING=1

DBI:

CFLAGS="-O2 -mpentium -fno-strength-reduce" perl Makefile.PL


no compile errors or warnings.
