We've built mod_perl 1.21_03 with Apache 1.3.12 on 10.20 without
problems. DSO doesn't work but building mod_perl with Apache does.
What's your ./configure line like? We did not need to patch 1.3.12 to
achieve what we wanted. We do compile with the HP-UX C compiler and
use CFLAGS="-Ae +DAportable".
