it doesn't seem to work. I did as you've suggested (to the current cvs):

   'fallback' => 1,

instead of:

   '==' => \&num_cmp;

and t/error/runtime.t now fails:

[Thu Mar 03 20:51:51 2005] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] APR::Error: Can't 
handle '==' at /home/stas/apache.org/mp2-svn/blib/lib/Apache2/APR/Error.pm 
line 39.
