As stated in the other thread I don't find this layout intuitive. The fact 
that httpd chose to use this layout doesn't necessarily mean that we 
should follow the crowd.

I prefer this one. But may be rather call it modperl1 and modperl2, so the 
modperl2 dir may have 2.0, 2.2 branches, w/o rendering things confusing 
(.e.g modperl-2.0/branches/2.2 is less intuitive than modperl-2/branches/2.2)
