Another idea - maybe the courier font or its replacements is missing.
Please go to your user directory in that redhat system, and open the file .pdfbox.cache, and
post all lines that include courier, liberation, and nimbusmon. Make the search case insensitive.
Include all lines that have the string, i.e. also "CourierNew". Or just post the whole file.
