It's easy to install AOO on OSX.  Just remember the first time running it you will need to
"Right" click or "Control" click the icon to open it and let the OS know that it is okay to
run the software.  Since AOO doesn't come from the App store it isn't in the OS's library
of okay software, this is part of OSX's protection against malware.
