I could have been more explicit.  FLAME ON-- My words applied to the "former
VP/CIO of IT and Telecom" who has made maddeningly self-aggrandizing posts
in recent weeks.  Surely I'm not alone in being "really put off" by such
displays.  --FLAME OFF.

Who?  Hamid or the original poster?  As it turns out, Hamid is the target of
a long-running cyber-bullying issue.  I suspect that the email account of
the original poster of this thread has been compromised.
There is nothing wrong with these conferences or the IEEE and none of them
are scams.
