By the default, the AOO dialog are used. You can switch that option with the
dialog that opens by selecting the menu "Tools" - "Options...". In the tree on
the left, select "OpenOffice.org" - "General", there you have "Open/Save
dialogs", uncheck "Use OpenOffice.org dialogs".

You can also submit a request for enhancement, to make this option the default

KDE3 and KDE4 are no longer being maintained. If we find a developer
volunteering to maintain the code, I'm sure we will start building with
KDE3/KDE4 support.
