Unfortunately, with the exception of the desktop-integration packages, we cannot use rpm/dpkg directly; the code defines the list of files to be included in a home-made, cross-platform way, on trunk/main/scp2; then you have the files that bind the definitions in scp2 with a rpm/deb package, in main/setup_native/source/packinfo/, the format is described here http://opengrok.adfinis-sygroup.org/source/xref/aoo-trunk/main/setup_native= /source/packinfo/packinfo_office.txt#22 The package information is the same for RPMs and DEBs. At the end, the build environment puts all these peaces together, generates a package configuration file and calls EPM. As you see, the process is cumbersome and not very easy to understand/manage.
