Abhishek Kandoi commented on OPENMEETINGS-558:
----------------------------------------------

I am Abhishek Kandoi, and I am currently in my first year at undergraduate level and I am
willing to participate in GSoC 2013. I have used a lot of projects by Apache Software Foundation
including Apache solr, Apache HTTP Server. I have been developing HTML, JavaScript (mostly
jQuery), PHP, Python based tools and websites since about 2 years and I think I have a good
understanding of how things work.

I have familiarized myself with HTML5 and CSS3, and can easily develop HTML 5 rich web applications.

Currently I am a member of SDSLabs, a group of like-minded people who like to experiment with
technology both software and hardware based.

I have developed several open source tools and websites which you make find at my github account,
https://github.com/abhikandoi2000

A few weeks back I developed a media streamer using HTML, CSS and Python which allows streaming
of media files over a local network for easy media access.
You can find it here https://github.com/abhikandoi2000/air-o-play

Recently I developed an HTTP server (fenix), which made my HTTP Protocol understanding a solid
finish.

I have written a web scrapper using Python to extract English and Hindi lyrics and associate
a lyrics file for each song.

Now, I am working on a HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, jQuery, PHP based todo app which focuses on interactivity,
some of which are drag & drop, strike through.

Since I am new to Apache Openmeetings, some help regarding it would be helpful. Some help
regarding the direction in which I should proceed would provide great help.

I am trying to get myself familiarized with the code base of Apache Openmeetings and Apache
Wicket. I find it interesting and I would like to work on this project if allowed to.

I hope this makes me a good candidate for this GSoC project.
