Hi,

always thought it behaves the same except for some maven specific plugin specifications inside
POM. Anyway. Will fiddle around with all that. 
For now it works and my setup is a little bit cleaner/lighter than using <dependency org="org.apache.openjpa"
name="openjpa" rev="2.1.0">.
