Hi Christopher,

I'm not aware of anything built in to OpenJPA that generates underscored
names. It seems like we'd want a variation on the
MappingDefaults.removeHungarianNotation property. 

If it would be useful to you would you mind opening a JIRA (not that we
don't have enough already) ?
