Hi,
  Try in the given sequence
1. Declare all the known persistent entities in <class> clause of
persistence.xml
2. Ask OpenJPA to map the known classes to database (also in
persistence.xml)
    <property name="openjpa.SynchronizeMappings" value="buildSchema"/>
