Subject RE: Incorrect DEFERRABLE usage with PostgreSQL
Date Thu, 01 Nov 2007 14:42:07 GMT
Hi Ben,

I'm now suffering from the "64 char issue" with GenerationType.IDENTITY columns.
I'm using 1.1.0 nightly build which I downloaded in 2007-10-24.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that my issue is affected by "maxAutoAssignNameLength" which is
not overwritten in the PostgresDictionary's constructor.

The variable is initialized with "31" in DBDictionary.
And, the problem that I'm suffering is OpenJPA trims IDENTITY sequence names longer than <32>
characters.

I filed this issue as https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-427

Thank you,
- Ryosuke Iwata
