Subject [jira] [Commented] (OPENJPA-2300) AnnotationProcessor shows warnings when executed on Java 7 sources
Date Mon, 11 Mar 2013 12:19:12 GMT

Harald Wellmann commented on OPENJPA-2300:

The annotation processor does generate the meta classes with JDK7 despite logging a warning,
the warning is just rather confusing to end users.

Now that Java 6 is officially at end of live, OpenJPA should not complain about Java 7 sources,
and as Piotr said, I suppose it's enough to simply upgrade the @SupportedSourceVersion.

> When running {{openjpac}} Ant task on Java sources set to Java 7 compatibility, the following
warning is shown:
> [javac] warning: Supported source version 'RELEASE_6' from annotation processor 'org.apache.openjpa.persistence.meta.AnnotationProcessor6'
less than -source '1.7'
> This is because contains:
> @SupportedSourceVersion(RELEASE_6)
> which according to JDK documentation means that this annotation processor is incompatible
with Java 7.
