Subject [jira] [Created] (OPENJPA-2249) Minor performance improvement when using LiteAutoDetach
Date Wed, 08 Aug 2012 14:45:20 GMT
Rick Curtis created OPENJPA-2249:
------------------------------------

Summary: Minor performance improvement when using LiteAutoDetach
                 Key: OPENJPA-2249
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-2249
             Project: OpenJPA
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: kernel, performance
    Affects Versions: 2.2.0, 2.3.0
            Reporter: Rick Curtis
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 2.3.0

I have found that when detaching the entire persistence context we create a new collection
of all items that need to be detached but we could be smarter and just create an intelligent
iterator. This new iterator will iterate over each collection/map that needs to be detached.

In local perf testing this showed a marginal improvement.
