Patrick Linskey commented on OPENJPA-384:
-----------------------------------------

Yes, this is a known problem with WLS -- there are issues with dropping in a newer version
of OpenJPA than the one that WLS ships with.

Note that a more-recent OpenJPA drop will be available in WLS 10.0MP1, due out "sometime soon"
I believe.

You should raise this issue with BEA support; real customer opinions on this will help influence
project decisions on issues like this.

> I am trying to deploy a web application which uses OpenJPA 1.0.0 into a WebLogic 10 environment.
The application deployment (and subsequent startup) fails with the following error:

> There doesn't seem to be any details or documentation on running apps based on newer
versions of OpenJPA under WebLogic 10 (which packages OpenJPA 0.9.7 as part of Kodo).
