Subject [jira] Created: (OPENJPA-319) DBDictionary Property "MaxConstraintNameLength"
Date Thu, 16 Aug 2007 14:41:30 GMT
DBDictionary Property "MaxConstraintNameLength"
------------------------------------------------

                 Key: OPENJPA-319
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-319
             Project: OpenJPA
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: jdbc
         Environment: Mysql 5
            Reporter: Markus Herzog

Hello,

the generated SQL (create table ...) contains foreign key contraint names that are longer
than MaxConstraintNameLength (i.e. more than 64 characters using MySQLDictionary). I had a
brief look at the code and i think that DBDictionary.getValidForeignKeyName() sould be called
somewhere, but it doesn't.
