Subject [jira] Created: (OPENJPA-163) @OneToOne should not be legal as back-pointer of @OneToMany
Date Tue, 06 Mar 2007 23:31:24 GMT
@OneToOne should not be legal as back-pointer of @OneToMany
-----------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: OPENJPA-163
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-163
             Project: OpenJPA
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: diagnostics, jpa
    Affects Versions: 0.9.6, 0.9.0
            Reporter: Patrick Linskey
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 0.9.7

According to the JPA spec, the opposite side of a @OneToMany must be a @ManyToOne. OpenJPA
allows a @OneToOne to be used instead. This does not seem to add any value, and reduces portability
of client applications.
