FYI, the specs are final and available should you want them.

http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/geronimo/specs/geronimo- 
jta_1.1_spec/1.0/
http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/geronimo/specs/geronimo- 
jpa_3.0_spec/1.0/

And the jta jar was compiled with jdk 1.3.
