Subject [jira] Commented: (OPENJPA-59) Eager fetching not occuring for ToOne relationships during detachment
Date Mon, 25 Sep 2006 19:51:50 GMT

Marc Prud'hommeaux commented on OPENJPA-59:
-------------------------------------------

I'd vote for MaxFetchDepth defaulting to unlimited. It seems like a useful setting to tune
downwards (especially for tree-type parent-child structures), but having it default to 1 seems
like it cause more confusion without providing much performance benefit in most cases.

> If there is a bidirectional onetomany relationship between parent and child maintained
with a foreign key, during detachment, the parent and children are correctly detached, but
the back reference in child to the parent is not populated.
