See: http://s.apache.org/6Yr

And...with that, we┬╣re ready for *RC* time! :)

Here's my recommended outline of the process. http://s.apache.org/05

RC away!

Note: once Dave (W.) calls the release VOTE, folks will have 72 hours to
check out the release tarballs and signatures, etc. Here's some
recommendations on what to do before you cast your +1 VOTE:

1. download the release
2. untar it (all look OK?)
3. verify signatures look good (see here:
http://www.apache.org/dev/release-signing.html)
4. Run through the user guide examples for filemgr, workflow, resource
manager, crawler, push pull; run through the guides for profile, product,
web-grid, xmlps (all look OK?)
5. consider whether what you find is a blocker or not to releasing. Some
suggestions:
  - incompatible license? Blocker
  - documentation bug? Not a Blocker
  - horrible bug that prevents your use case entirely from working? Blocker
  - bug with workaround? Not a Blocker

HTH and happy releasing and VOTE'ing!

Cheers,
Chris
