You probably want to dump the latin1 character set and use UTF8.  If
you use latin1, you can forget about getting a multi-language capable
ofbiz installation (I learned the hard way).  Try these:

            table-type="InnoDB"
            character-set="utf8"
            collate="utf8_general_ci">
