Morevoer MySql seems to sleep since it's Oracle, surprised?
On the other hand there is now http://askmonty.org/wiki/MariaDB

I also like Postgres for its licence (MIT/BSD style hence ASL2 compatilble) when MySql is
GPL and still MariaDB, even if it's not a 
big deal regarding OFBiz...
