[~tzngvi] I can reproduce the error you have reported but, due to limited time, I could not
find the root cause of it.
In the meantime you could check other similar screens that use the renderLookupField macro
and works properly even after my changes, for example:

https://localhost:8443/catalog/control/EditProductPromoRules?productPromoId=9022

By analyzing and comparing the ones that work with the ones that fail we may gather useful
clues for a proper fix.
