Well, for me it was not a bug, but feature :-). 
This way I could have persistent internal communication between processes, which could take
longer than 3 minutes without failures. 
But I agree it was not correct to invoke in-memory process internally without INVOKE_CHECK.


BTW. In ODE trunk, where we will have transacted parter links, will it be possible to have
invocations on such partner links without INVOKE_CHECK?
