Subject [jira] [Created] (NIFI-841) If a Processor calls session.append and the content repository runs out of disk space, session could finish commit anyway
Date Tue, 11 Aug 2015 19:35:46 GMT
Mark Payne created NIFI-841:
-------------------------------

Summary: If a Processor calls session.append and the content repository runs
out of disk space, session could finish commit anyway
                 Key: NIFI-841
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-841
             Project: Apache NiFi
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Core Framework
            Reporter: Mark Payne
            Priority: Critical
             Fix For: 0.3.0

The StandardProcessSession keeps track of FlowFiles that are being append'ed to. On session.commit,
it attempts to flush the Output Stream's that are being appended to. However, if it throws
IOException here, the Exception is swallowed, and could result in only part of the FlowFile's
content being written to the Content Repository.
