Joseph Witt commented on NIFI-469:
----------------------------------

So we already have an interface to support an implementation that will keep stats longer.
We already allow in nifi.properties for the user to specify retaining datapoints for a longer
period of time and with varying frequency. There is an issue though in that the visualiation/UI
would become inefficient and/or unusable with more points.

> users should be able to configure how far back stats history goes (perhaps a reasonable
limit should be set (i.e. 30 days, one week) as well as how often the stats update.
