Subject [jira] [Created] (NIFI-420) Minimum Heap requirements may be larger than 512 MB
Date Sat, 14 Mar 2015 18:02:38 GMT
Joseph Witt created NIFI-420:
--------------------------------

Summary: Minimum Heap requirements may be larger than 512 MB
                 Key: NIFI-420
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-420
             Project: Apache NiFi
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Tools and Build
            Reporter: Joseph Witt
            Priority: Minor

I believe there is evidence to suggest that our minimum memory/heap size requirements are
beyond 512 now for even the most trivial dataflows over sustained intervals.

We should verify this. If it is the case we should increase the defaults. And we should
kick off a ticket to evaluate what consumes most of the memory so we can reduce that when
necessary or document how to keep it super lean when needed.
