I'm not sure, but I think I have read about problems using that servlet
mapping.  I am using trinidad and facelets, and I have the following servlet
mappings:
<servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>faces</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/faces/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
<servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>resources</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/adf/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
