I already got a wierd problem with client-side saving. Mine was solved by
adding this to the application-config part of my web.xml.

<context-param>
    <param-name>org.apache.myfaces.adf.CLIENT_STATE_METHOD</param-name>
    <param-value>all</param-value>
  </context-param>
