Subject myfaces context problem under jetty ?
Date Fri, 11 May 2007 10:40:06 GMT
Hello,

I am using myfaces with Liferay portal. Usually I tested with tomcat and
everything worked fine. Now I tested on the Liferay/Jetty bundle
and something goes wrong. I am not sure if it is a myfaces (1.1.4)
problem or Liferay (4.2.2) or even jetty.
*
*Here is some of the code ... the first class is setting an attribute to
the session and the other one is reading it ...
To me it seems ok but resulting in an error with jetty ... may be it is
the wrong mailing list to ask but i need somewhere.
*
In a java class ..*

System.out.println("THE PORTLET REQ : "+req);*
*TOMCAT:*
*  THE PORTLET REQ : com.liferay.portlet.RenderRequestImpl@232a5d
JETTY :
*  *THE PORTLET REQ : com.liferay.portlet.RenderRequestImpl@aea944

log.debug("SET INSIDE : "+req.getPortletSession());
TOMCAT :
  DEBUG -http-8080-Processor25 - org.svarog.spring.handler.AccessHandler
- SET INSIDE : com.liferay.portlet.PortletSessionImpl@1d6768f
JETTY :
 DEBUG -P1-19 - org.svarog.spring.handler.AccessHandler - SET INSIDE :
com.liferay.portlet.PortletSessionImpl@176829e

log.debug("USER PHONE : "+tel+" to attr. "+phoneAttributeName);
TOMCAT :
 DEBUG -http-8080-Processor25 - org.svarog.spring.handler.AccessHandler
- USER PHONE : 1200 to attr. user.name.middle
JETTY :
 DEBUG -P1-19 - org.svarog.spring.handler.AccessHandler - USER PHONE :
1200 to attr. user.name.middle

req.getPortletSession().setAttribute(
                  "SVAROG.USER.PHONE",
tel,PortletSession.APPLICATION_SCOPE);

== > so untill there all the parameters seems to be ok.
*
Another java class ...*

String phone = (String)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().
        getExternalContext().getSessionMap().get("SVAROG.USER.PHONE");

log.debug("GET INSIDE : "+FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().
            getExternalContext()+" phone : "+phone);
TOMCAT :
 DEBUG -http-8080-Processor24 - org.svarog.session.UserSessionWrapper -
GET INSIDE :
org.apache.myfaces.context.servlet.ServletExternalContextImpl@66f987
phone : 1200
JETTY :
 DEBUG -P1-19 - org.svarog.session.UserSessionWrapper - GET INSIDE :
org.apache.myfaces.context.servlet.ServletExternalContextImpl@ae511
phone : null *<== THE ERROR*

Regards,
DAniel
