Hello,

Same thing here, tried to set the binding property with a composite component and it didn't
work.

I read some of the code that handles components (ComponentTagHandlerDelegate.java, ComponetiComponentResourceTagHandler.java,
...) and added the code that sets the binding value for the composite component.

I'd like to contribute but I'm not sure how to do it. I opened a Pull Request on myfaces's
git repo. if there's anything else I can do please let me know.
