Subject [jira] [Created] (MYFACES-3713) [perf] use getFacetCount() when possible and avoid create iterator instances
Date Tue, 23 Apr 2013 00:59:15 GMT
Leonardo Uribe created MYFACES-3713:
---------------------------------------

Summary: [perf] use getFacetCount() when possible and avoid create iterator instances
                 Key: MYFACES-3713
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-3713
             Project: MyFaces Core
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Leonardo Uribe
            Priority: Trivial

There are some spots where getFacets() is called directly or getFacets().isEmpty is used.
The ideal is prevent that call and use getFacetCount() when possible. Also, use getFacetsAndChildren()
is nicer but use getFacetCount() prevents create 1 iterator per component class that does
not have facets attached, which is a common case.

The effect is very, very small, but anyway it is quite simple to do it.
