Subject [jira] [Created] (TRINIDAD-2270) Add skin configuration item for selective rendering features
Date Fri, 25 May 2012 21:12:22 GMT
Jeremy C. Hull created TRINIDAD-2270:
----------------------------------------

Summary: Add skin configuration item for selective rendering features
                 Key: TRINIDAD-2270
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TRINIDAD-2270
             Project: MyFaces Trinidad
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Infrastructure, Skinning
    Affects Versions: 1.2.12-core
            Reporter: Jeremy C. Hull

To selectively take advantage of new CSS capabilities, and other changes which may rely on
DOM changes, the skin needs to be able to specify rendering features that the skin needs to
take advantage of. An example of this is removal of image borders and corners that are only
there to provide rounded corners or gradients. Reducing DOM can be done in many cases without
affecting the presentation, but positively affecting performance.
