Werner Punz commented on MYFACES-2522:
--------------------------------------

Ok I got things cleared up thankts to the Sun guys and the open mailinglist (thanks again
jdlee for helping out so quickly).

There is an errata in the spec, the HTML is faulty, there is only one attribute for resolving
the event type, and that is type (which is the info from the PDF) the attribute name does
not exist anymore.
We are at fault in our implementation here, because we still resolve to name and type
as the HTML states.

> As it seems f:event uses a wrong (probably old) attribute name:
> <f:event name="postAddToView"
> listener="#{javatestbean.validate}"/> works
> but in reality according to the spec section 3.4.3.4 it should be
> <f:event type="postAddToView"
> listener="#{javatestbean.validate}"/>
> and that one causes a classNotFound error
