Subject [jira] Resolved: (MYFACES-1517) ExternalContext.getRequestParameterMap() doesn't comply with the JSF specification
Date Thu, 18 Jan 2007 22:44:29 GMT

Guy Veraghtert resolved MYFACES-1517.

    Resolution: Invalid

My apologies. I should have done my homework better. MyFaces does return an immutable Map.

> According to the jsf-1_0-fr-spec-apidocs (JavaDocs for jsf-api:
--> JavaServer Faces v1.0 Specification Final Release), considered part of the JSF specification,
the method getRequestParameterMap() in javax.faces.context.ExternalContext must return an
immutable Map:
> "Return an immutable Map whose keys are the set of request parameters names included
in the current request, and whose values (of type String) are the first (or only) value for
each parameter name returned by the underlying request." (
> The org.apache.myfaces.context.servlet.ServletExternalContextImpl, however, returns a
mutable Map. This is not conform to the JSF specification.
