Martin Marinschek commented on MYFACES-699:
-------------------------------------------

Zhong Li,

I have added the exception to be in the log - so if there is no stacktrace popping up so far,
you will surely have one now if you try the latest head.

as for the quality of MyFaces directly: we are struggling hard to make a good product here.
Sorry if you don't have the feeling that we are going into the right direction, but we have
been fixing numerous bugs with the last two releases. I believe the problem was that there
was to long a period in releasing 1.0.9 and 1.1.0 - too many fixes and enhancements had made
it in this release, and too many changes are necessary to your applications due to this.

I think that you are unfair in saying that we badly damaged MyFaces - this is just not true,
we have passed the TCK-tests and are now officially compatible, we have built in numerous
enhancements and fixes.

And it was you who contributed some of these fixes - thanks! This is what open source is about,
and you are part of it. Of course, if you feel that MyFaces is not working out as it should
be, maybe you should change to the RI now and check back in half a year - you need to admit
that it is at least good that you have the possibility to do so.

regards,

Martin

> It works on 1.0.9, if my page have a selectOneMenu in panelGroup, when it navigate to
other page, it will raised above error, I change navigation rules to redirect, all works fine.

> I don't know what's going on inside myfaces team. but I feel after version 1.0.9, it
baddly demaged myfaces. Just because I have products using myfaces, I have to use it. My few
friends give up away from myfaces already.
> Guys, what's going on????
