The width attribute doesn't seem to be used even if you don't click a sort header.  Try the
modified example I made using the patch I've attached.  NOTE: Sorting doesn't yet work with
my modified OpenDataList but that is not the important issue in this case.

It doesn't appear that the attribute is ever used during rendering.
