The original code didn't pre-pull the images, because the Linux images are much smaller (~2MB),
so they got pulled automatically via the `docker run` command without timing out the tests.
If you want, I can remove the `#ifdef` and pre-pull on all platforms.

Yeah, test code should prefer `exit 0` over `true`, since `exit 0` works for both Windows
and Linux.
